Amy Clarke is an artist; the face is her canvas.  She’s created make-up masterpieces for models, brides {she did Lauren Isobel’s wedding!}, and everyday women, so who better to help us Liminas women navigate the makeup trends of Spring 2011?

save the drama for your lips!

A bold lip is a look that has been spotted all over the runways for Spring 2011 and one of Amy’s favorite look is what she calls “orange pop”.  It’s definitely a prerequisite look for fashionistas and is super-easy to pull off.  Choose any shade from a soft coral to a warm persimmon.

how to get this look

To get there, keep the rest of your makeup natural, with a light peachy blush and a few coats of mascara.  To create a flawless orange pout,

Start with a little lip balm to moisturize, then blot shortly after application.

Add a bit of concealer to the lips, and set with translucent powder.

Next, fill in the lips with a medium orange shade of lip liner.

Then apply the lip color of your choice on top of the liner.  I like Lime Crime lipstick in “My Beautiful Rocket” or, for a deeper orangey color, Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tars in “Safety Orange”.

Once finished, blot with a tissue, and you’re ready to wear this look with confidence!
